Hobart Ecomax 504-C Undercounter Dish & Glasswasher

This machine handles the whole lot: plates, glasses, cutlery and bulky items. The Hobart Ecomax 504-C has a 360mm usable chamber height, so large dinner plates, pizza plates and serving platters fit without being forced in at an angle. It takes full-size 500 x 500mm racks, and its 820mm installation height fits under most standard benches.

It runs on single-button control. A colour-coded status light shows staff what the machine is doing, so a new kitchen hand can run it on their first shift. You can choose a 60, 120 or 180-second cycle depending on how heavy the load is. There's also a Hygiene programme that clears calcium build-up from the wash chamber when used with Hobart Hygiene-Tab INTENSIV.

Each rinse uses just 2.0 litres of water, which keeps running costs down over a year of service. A built-in rinse pressure pump keeps wash results consistent even when your water supply pressure drops or fluctuates, which is common in regional venues. Rotating wash and rinse arms above and below the rack spray water evenly across the whole chamber, so items in the corners come out as clean as those in the middle.

Dishwasher or glasswasher?

If you only wash glasses, one of our compact glasswashers will do the job and take up less space. The 504-C is the better choice if you also need to wash plates and cutlery, or if a single machine has to cover both the bar and the kitchen. Its larger rack and taller chamber also mean fewer loads during a busy service.

What's in the box

The machine comes with one plate rack, one cutlery basket, fill and drain hoses, detergent and rinse aid pumps, and a 15A single-phase plug and lead.

Good to know before you buy

The machine needs a 15A power point, not a standard 10A outlet. If your water hardness is above 3°dH, Hobart recommends a water softener to protect the machine. If you connect it to cold water, the listed cycle times will run longer while the machine heats to temperature.
