Description

The Ecomax Plus H615 is a three-phase hood type dishwasher for kitchens that need to move racks quickly through a busy service. Staff slide a rack across from the bench, pull the hood down, and slide the clean rack out the other side. There's no bending and no waiting, and it fits into a dish line between a pre-rinse sink and an outlet bench.

Its shortest cycle is 60 seconds, and the 0.7kW wash pump has the power to clear heavily soiled plates and pots. A built-in rinse pump keeps rinse volume and pressure consistent even when your water supply pressure is low, so results don't drop off when other taps in the kitchen are running. Each rinse uses only 2.2 litres of water. The rinse runs at a minimum of 82°C, and the thermostop holds the cycle until the water reaches temperature.

It runs on top-mounted single-button control, easy to see and use, with status indication and electronic temperature gauges. You can choose a 60, 90 or 180-second cycle. Hobart's Hygiene cycle keeps the machine itself clean, and a self-cleaning cycle runs on drain-out at the end of the day. The 440mm chamber height takes large plates, trays and pots, and with optional open-ended tray racks it can wash full-size 1/1 gastronorm pans.

Ecomax Plus H615 or Ecomax 604?

Both are hood type machines with the same footprint and chamber height. The H615 has a shorter 60-second cycle (compared with 75 seconds), a more powerful wash pump and a rinse pump that works on water pressure as low as 0.5 bar. The 604 needs at least 3 bar. The H615 can also be used with reverse osmosis water treatment, which the 604 can't. The main thing to check is power. The H615 needs a three-phase 415V supply, while the 604 runs on single-phase 240V. If you have three-phase power and a busy dish area, choose the H615. If you only have single-phase power, the 604 is the right fit.

What's in the box

The machine comes with one plate rack, one cutlery holder, chemical dispensers, a fill hose, a power lead, and a pump-out drain and hose.

Some product images show the machine with dish benches, a sink and a pre-rinse spray. These are not included.

Good to know before you buy

The machine needs a three-phase 415V power supply. If your kitchen only has single-phase power, talk to us about the Ecomax 604 instead. With the hood raised, it stands 1995mm tall, so check your ceiling or overhead shelf clearance. If you're installing it in a corner, keep the right-hand side accessible for servicing.

If your water hardness is above 3°dH, Hobart recommends a water softener or a Hobart Hydroline water treatment system. If you connect it to cold water, the listed cycle times will run longer while the machine heats to temperature.
