Hobart Profi FX Undercounter Dishwasher

The Profi FX is the top of Hobart's undercounter dishwasher range. It's built for kitchens that want consistent results, lower running costs and a machine that does more of the work itself. It has the same 425mm loading height and 500 x 500mm rack as the Ecomax Plus range. On top of that, it adds smart features that save time on cleaning, chemicals and water.

The wash arms clean themselves at the end of every cycle, so there's less daily maintenance for staff. SENSO-ACTIVE monitors the quality of the wash water and uses only as much fresh rinse water as each load needs. The GENIUS-X² fine filter system includes a pre-wash function that reduces detergent use by up to 35%. Over a year of service, those savings add up.

Staff run it from a colour touchscreen with single-button control, and the screen shows how much time is left on each cycle. The machine records its own operating data, including water and chemical use. You can download that data as a report by USB or follow it through Hobart's SmartConnect app, which shows machine status, usage, running costs, hygiene and service information. At 59 dB(A), it's quiet enough for open kitchens.

Two optional upgrades are available. CUTLERY PREMIUM produces clean, shiny cutlery without hand polishing, and the machine selects the program automatically. The 2IN1 double rack system washes two racks in a single cycle, which can double the machine's output during busy periods.

Profi FX or Ecomax Plus F515-D?

Both machines take the same rack size and have the same loading height. The Profi FX adds the touchscreen, self-cleaning wash arms, SENSO-ACTIVE water management, the fine filter system and app connectivity. It's also slightly quieter. The Ecomax Plus F515-D has simpler controls and a shorter 60-second cycle. If you want lower running costs and less maintenance over the life of the machine, choose the Profi FX. If you want a reliable, straightforward dishwasher, the F515-D will do the job.

Good to know before you buy

The machine needs a 15A power point, not a standard 10A outlet. If your water hardness is above 3°dH, Hobart recommends a water softener to protect the machine. If you connect it to cold water, the listed cycle times will run longer while the machine heats to temperature. Adding CUTLERY PREMIUM increases the machine's depth by 17mm.
