Hobart EDGE12 Medium-Duty Gravity Feed Slicer

The EDGE12 is a medium-duty manual slicer for delis, cafés, butchers, restaurants and supermarkets that slice meat, cheese and small goods through the day. Its angled carriage feeds the product onto the 305mm knife by gravity, so staff only need to push the carriage back and forth. A ½hp (0.37kW) motor has the power to slice cheese cleanly, not just meat.

The product tray takes items up to 273mm long, and slice thickness is adjustable up to 14mm. Safety is built in. A ring guard covers the knife edge permanently, the knife stays covered when the carriage is removed, and a shield covers the blade when the sharpener is off. The carriage comes off easily for cleaning, and the Borazon sharpening stone is removable and dishwasher safe. It plugs into a standard 10A power point.

Good to know before you buy

This is a medium-duty slicer, built for regular slicing through the day rather than continuous high-volume use. For heavy, all-day slicing, talk to us about a heavy-duty model. A food chute is available as an optional accessory.
