Description
The UX is built for kitchens and bakeries that wash big, awkward items: pots and pans, cast iron cookware, baking tins, trays and racks. Its 600 x 760mm rack and 860mm loading height take items that won’t fit a hood machine, and Hobart says it’s the only utensil washer that can wash four bakery racks in one cycle. Staff load it through a front door, so it fits against a wall rather than in a dish line.
A 2.9kW wash pump moving 1,150 litres a minute drives the ROTOR-X upper and lower wash arms, and POWER wash adds high pressure for heavily soiled items. SENSO-ACTIVE monitors wash water quality to keep rinse water to a minimum, and the GENIUS-X² fine filter system reduces detergent use by up to 35%. The wash and rinse arms come out with one hand, without tools.
For low ceilings, the machine height can be reduced by up to 217mm with the door open, and the loading height can be lowered to 650mm. Optional drain heat recovery can save up to 5.2kW, and VAPOSTOP is available to stop steam escaping when the door opens.
UX or UX-ER? The UX-ER adds exhaust heat recovery, which uses steam from the machine to heat the incoming water and saves up to 3.1kW. Choose the UX-ER if you run the machine all day and want lower power bills. Choose the UX if you want the simpler, lower-profile machine.

Good to know before you buy
The standard model draws 15.6kW on a three-phase 3 x 25A supply, so have an electrician check your power before ordering. With the door open, the machine stands 2417mm tall, or 2200mm with the height reduction, so check your ceiling clearance. If your water hardness is above 3°dH, Hobart recommends a water softener.
